Barbara Jean (Barnes) Just

Barbara Jean Just, 67, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Presbyterian Manor of Arkansas City.  

Barbara Jean was born on November 16, 1951, in Wichita Falls, TX, the daughter of Robert Ray and Imogene (Nichols) Barnes.  She graduated from Billings, OK High School.  She held a long career as a secretary at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.  In December of 2013, she was united in marriage to Gary Just.  The couple made their home in Arkansas City.  After her health issues, she needed constant care and moved to Presbyterian Manor, where Gary came to visit every day.  She was member of Harvest Fellowship Church and will be missed by her family and friends. 

Her family includes: her husband, Gary; her sons, Jarral and Jeffrey Osborne; her siblings, Robert Derrel Barnes, Troy Dean Barnes, Sandra Rogers and Betty Hind and one granddaughter.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Shelley Family Funeral Home, Arkansas City with Pastor Richard Harrison presiding.  Cremation will take place after the service.  A memorial has been established in her name with the Presbyterian Manor, Good Samaritan Fund.  Contributions may be left with the funeral home.
