Billy Byron Wheeler

Billy Byron Wheeler, 89, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018.

Billy was born on November 9, 1929 in Western Grove, Arkansas, to Carl and Jessie (Jones) Wheeler. Billy was united in marriage to Bernice Waters on August 25, 1951 in Oxford. They had recently celebrated 67 years of marriage. Billy worked at Boeing as a Fabrication Manager. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, food and the boy scouts. He loved his family very much.

Billy is survived by his wife, Bernice of the home; children, Billie Rivers, Bobby Wheeler, and Byron (Diana) Wheeler all of Oxford; sister Jane Krafels of Hutchison; grandchildren, Jennifer Rivers, Crystal Williams, Joshua Wheeler, Benjamin Rivers, Melissa Linot, and 12  great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents and brother in law Joe Krafels.

Visitation will be Monday November 19th from 1-7. With family receiving friends from 5-7. At the Oxford Funeral Home,

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 20th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Oxford, Kansas.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the First Baptist Church of Oxford, left in care of the Funeral Home.
