Bonnie Testerman Obituary

Bonnie J. Kiser Testerman, 76, of Arkansas City, KS, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2016 at Presbyterian Manor of Arkansas City.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 16th, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Newkirk, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Newkirk Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City, KS on Friday, January 15th, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A memorial has been established in Bonnie's name for the American Cancer Society or the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Bonnie was born on April 12, 1939 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Robert Frank and Rhoda Estella (David) Kiser. As a child she lived in Wichita, Winfield and Arkansas City. She graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1957. After high school, she attended college in Riverside, California for a time. She married Delbert Wood in 1957 in Arkansas City. He preceded her in death in 2000. Bonnie worked at Gordon-Piatt Energy Group as a switchboard operator before retiring in 2002. On June 9, 2005, she was united in marriage to Ralph Testerman in Newkirk, OK. The couple made their home in Newkirk until moving to Presbyterian Manor in May of 2015.

Bonnie was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed needlework, counted cross stitch and reading. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Her family includes: her husband; Ralph of the home; her children, Robbie Wood, Cindy Kelley and husband John, Sr. and Shelley Bailey all of Sheboygan, WI; Jeff Wood and wife Rachel of Derby, KS and Chris Antonelli and wife Amy of Winfield, KS, Jaime Testerman of Arkansas City and Bret Testerman and wife Julie of Orlando, FL; her brother, Paul Kiser of Manassas, VA; her 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and her nephew, Mike Kiser and wife Terri of Houston, TX. In addition to her parents and first husband, Delbert, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert and Duane and sister, Roberta.
