Charlotte Rogene (Patterson) Frazee

Charlotte Rogene (Patterson) Frazee, 70, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 25, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Lawrence, Kansas.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.  Burial will follow at Springside Cemetery Southeast of Arkansas City.  A visitation will be held on Friday, October 4 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. The family will be available to greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. that evening. Memorial contributions in Rogene's name may be made to the USD 465 Foundation - Gifted Program, contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.

Rogene was born on February 20, 1949 in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Carl Lee and Charlotte Rogene (Anno) Patterson.  She received her bachelor’s degree from Washburn University and her master’s degree from Wichita State University.  She was united in marriage to David Frazee on July 5, 1969 in Arkansas City, KS.  The couple lived in Galena, Kansas from 1972-1974 and then made Arkansas City home, where they had two children, David and Marie.  She was the gifted education teacher at USD 465 in Winfield for 35 years.  She and her husband, David also owned and operated Frazee’s Flower Shop for many years.  She was member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing and reading.   She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Her family includes; her husband, David of the home; her son, David Frazee (Kirsten) of Los Altos, CA; her daughter, Marie Moore (Layne) of Lawrence, KS; her 4 brothers, Harvey Leon Patterson of CA; Dale Dean Patterson of MO,  Rodney Lee Patterson of Lawrence, KS and James Eugene Patterson of Topeka, KS; Rogene also has a daughter by heart, Misty Lambert (Kent); her 14 grandchildren, Amelia Roskin Frazee, Noah Roskin Frazee, Maia Frazee, Renée Frazee, Katie Moore, Sam Moore and Gracie Moore, Alicen Saenz (Issac), Jacylnne Lambert, Steven Lambert, Kevin Lambert, Jason Lambert, Justin Lambert, Cathryn Lambert and 3 great grandchildren, Aliviynne Saenz, Adler Saenz, Ayson Rogen James Saenz.
