Derek Ray Fulton, 29, of Arkansas City, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 9th, 2019 at Shelley Family Funeral Home in Arkansas City. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. The casket will be open and friends may call from 12:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 8th at the funeral home. The family will greet friends that evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A memorial has been established for his daughters’, Avacyn and Aleelah Educational fund. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
Derek Ray was born on October 28, 1990 in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Butch Floyd and Tamme Renee (Alexander) Fulton. As a young boy, he enjoyed baseball. He was a 2009 graduate of Arkansas City High School. Derek’s whole world revolved around his twin girls, Avacyn and Aleelah. He also enjoyed art, especially drawing and playing the guitar. Derek has a great sense of humor and enjoyed making other laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
His family includes: his parents, Tamme and Butch Fulton of Arkansas City, his brother, Dillon Fulton of Arkansas City, his girls, Avacyn and Aleelah Fulton of Arkansas City, ; his grandparents, Don and Jeannie Alexander, of Howe, OK; his uncles and aunts, Ronnie and Crystal Fulton of Cement, OK, Bryan and Tonya Alexander of Edmond, OK and John Alexander of Tennessee; his great-aunt, Teresa Fulton of Oklahoma City, OK; his cousins, Brandy Fulton, Ronnie Fulton, Jr., John’e Fulton, Ryan Fulton, Robert Fulton, Hayley Alexander, Landon Alexander, Savannah Alexander, Katie Alexander, Weston Alexander and Shelby Alexander. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Debbie Alexander and Henry, Jr. and Anna Mae Fulton; great-grandparents Henry, Sr. and Dorothy Fulton, Pedro and Flora Mae Burns.
