Earl Dorsey Obituary

Earl Eugene Dorsey, 69, of El Dorado, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 20 at Bethel AME Church in Winfield. Arrangements are in care of Shelley Family Funeral Home – 803 Loomis St. Winfield, KS 67156.

Earl Dorsey was born on September 19, 1948 to parents Carl Dorsey Sr. and the late Ruby Cox in Winfield, Kansas. Earl resided in Dallas, TX for 37 years and returned to his home in Winfield 3 years ago. Earl dedicated his life to the Lord at an early age and went to church until his health declined, he was well loved by everyone, and shared 37 years of marriage with his beloved Kathleen. He also enjoyed watching Dallas sports and Matlock, and detailing cars.

He is survived by sisters Sondra Dorsey of Topeka, and Ventia Tapia of Winfield, and brother Milford Dorsey of Wichita. Earl is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and siblings: Bobbye Burns, Beverly Wofford, Kay Davis, twin brother Carl Dorsey and David Dwayne Cox.
