Frankie Lee Dickson was born September 29, 1938 to James and Rena (Myers) Dickson of Arkansas City, KS.  He graduated from Ark City High School in May, 1958.  After High School he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War (1961-64) as a mechanic in the United States Army stationed out of Ft. Riley, KS. On July 27, 1963 he married Andrea Phyllis Beall at their longtime church, the Church of God (Holiness) in Arkansas City, KS.  After an honorable discharge from the military, Frankie and Andrea moved to Kansas City where he attended Kansas City College and Bible School for years to prepare him for a life of service in ministry.  They returned to their home town in 1970 and settled in to continue building a life together. During these years Frankie and Andrea chose to open their hearts and adopt two daughters.   One of Frankie's favorite sayings was "Do an honest day's work for an honest day's pay."  He lived that out by working hard to provide for his family through jobs that included Smith-Moon Steel, Pikes Construction and Roger's Hog Farm.  When he was not working, Frankie enjoyed serving in his church in a variety of ways, fishing whenever he got the chance, riding his motorcycle, building wooden furniture and accessory pieces, and playing his guitar and singing.  As his health declined he enjoyed a quieter life of ongoing care from his faithful wife, the companionship of his little dogs and a good western on TV.

Throughout his life, his favorite scriptures in the Holy Bible were found in the Gospel of John, chapter 14, the Promise of Heaven.   On Wednesday, July 25, 2018 Frankie Lee Dickson passed from this life into the long-awaited fulfillment of the Promise.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rena Dickson, all of his siblings: Raymond Dickson, Helen Dickson, Florene Wilson, Clarence Dickson, James Dickson, Alice Arthur, Jesse Shook, Robert Dickson, John Dickson, Ruth Hatcher

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Andrea, his two daughters Deanna (Brian)Page of Wellington, KS and Amber Redding of Haven, KS.  Grandchildren are Bryanna Page of Belle Plaine, Carrie (Andrew) Reed of Litchfield, MN, Alexa (Joshua) Fross of Kansas City, MO, Karson Ozbun of Arkansas City, KS, DeLaney Page of Wellington, and Thomas Young of Haven, KS.
