Janet Sue (Roberts) Bennett

Janet Sue (Roberts) Bennett, 62, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at her home in Winfield with her family at her side.  

The family will hold a memorial service at 10 AM Thursday, November 15 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Winfield. Memorial contributions in Janet’s name can be made to the COPD Foundation or the Crohns Colitis Foundation. Arrangements are in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield. 

Janet Sue Roberts was born in Winfield on September 6, 1956 the daughter of Jim and Sue (Walker) Roberts. She spent her whole life in Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in 1974. On September 1, 1984 Janet married the love of her life Glen Bennett at the First United Methodist Church in Winfield. Janet worked in the William Newton Hospital business office in the billing and insurance department for several years. She was an avid KU basketball fan and enjoyed bowling and watching her children play sports. Above anything else Janet loved caring for her family and raising her children. 

Janet is survived by her husband Glen, sons Ryan Bennett and wife Amanda, Casey Bennett and wife Shannon, brothers Kent Roberts and Doug Roberts, as well as two granddaughters Katelyn and Abigail. She is preceded in death by her parents.
