Jean Hildagarde Stockton

Jean Stockton, 90, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Arkansas City, KS.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 13th at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.   Visitation will be Tuesday, June 12th from 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Memorials have been established with the Silverdale Church.  Contributions may be made through the funeral home. 

Jean Hildagarde Stockton was born on December 24, 1927 the daughter of Eugene Murray and Viola (Uhlig) Pratt in Redwood City, California. She was a 1945 graduate of Poly-Tech in Riverside, CA. On July 16, 1946 Jean was united in marriage with Robert Lee Stockton. Jean was a successful and talented artist.  She enjoyed gardening and teaching painting. She liked to cook and was a good seamstress.

  Surviving to honor her memory are her children, Donna Rubio of Ponca City, OK, George Stockton and wife Kendra o Arkansas City, 4 grandchildren; Leslie Ford, Becky Austin, Jason Stockton and Chris Ford, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, special friends who took great care of her; Howard & Diane Goatley, Eric and Sue Snider, David Rhoades, King & Claudia Goff and Gary Jones

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert in 2009 and brother, Richard Pratt.
