June (Russell) Jones

June (Russell) Jones, 68, of Wellington, passed away, Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the Sumner Community Hospital in Wellington with her family by her side.

June Russell Jones was born June 13, 1951, the daughter of Cecil (Rusty) and Betty Jane (Fountas) Russell in Wellington. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1969. June was united in marriage to John Jones on November 17, 1992, he preceded her in death on December 2, 2014. June worked as a legal secretary in Silver City, NM for many years and moved to Wellington after her husband's death.  June enjoyed hiking, camping, cooking and collecting Indian artifacts. She loved spending time with her family.

June is survived by her siblings: Margie Prewitt (Bob) of Garden City, Glenn Russell (Elizabeth) of Wellington, Colleen Norris (Jim) of Wellington, Dean Russell of Wellington, Jeff Russell (Peggy) of Wellington and Bob Russell (Dana) of Wellington; step children: Diana Wolf of Phoenix and Christopher Jones of Phoenix; and 3 step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, twin sons: Patrick and Christopher Irvine, a brother David Russell and sister, Tammy Rayl; sister-in-law, Susan Russell.

Cremation has taken place and family will have a private ceremony at a later date per June's wishes
