Marvin Utt Obituary

Marvin Utt, 72, of Arkansas City, KS passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Peabody Health & Rehab.

Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date.

Marvin Maurice Utt was born March 4, 1947 in Cedar Vale, Kansas. He was the son of Maurice Jr and Marjorie Utt. He graduated from Cedar Vale High School in 1965. Following graduation, he attended Cowley County Community College where he received a scholarship for and played basketball. He left college to serve in the United States Army, specifically Viet Nam. He was honorably discharged in 1971 when he returned to Cedar Vale and began his lifelong dream of working as a full-time cowboy.

Marvin is survived by his brother, Daryl Utt; companion, Wanda Reaves, stepdaughter, Whitney Gilliland (Roy) and three grandchildren: Yates, Quaid and Kruz Gilliland. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Blaine.
