Pamela was born March 8, 1955, the daughter of Gerald and Evelyn (Sorrow) Vaughn in Wellington, KS. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1973. Pamela was a home health aide.
Pamela loved to entertain and was the light in everyone’s day. She had a smile that never stopped, a laugh that could lift any spirit, and a heart filled with love and kindness. She enjoyed horseback riding, cooking, decorating, nature, her family and friends. Pam spent many years working at Boeing where she met the love of her life Robert Kern. They spent 30 years together raising their six children and enjoying their grandkids. Pam loved being a companion and a caregiver. She never knew a stranger and her door was always open to anyone. She will be missed by many, but her light and love for life will remain in all of us.
Pamela is survived by her children: Ryan Bables and his wife Leandre of Eureka, KS, Zachary Farthing of Winfield, KS, Colter Kern of Winfield and Katelynn Kern of Udall; stepsons: David Kern of Haysville and Tim Kern and his wife Michelle of Kechi; 12 grandchildren and a brother, David Vaughn and his wife Liza of Arkansas City, KS.
