Ronald Stansbarger Obituary

Ronald Dean Stansbarger, 76, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2019 at his home.

Ronald Dean was born on May 9, 1943, in Wichita, KS, the son of Charles William and Georgia Illa (Hedrick) Stansbarger. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1961. He was united in marriage to Patricia “Trisha” Mayer on June 6, 1997. He worked his entire career for General Electric and retired as a supervisor machinist. His wife, Trisha, preceded him in death in 2012.

He is survived by his brothers, Don Stansbarger (Annie) of Carlsbad, California; his brother, Bob Stansbarger of Lakeville, MN; his stepdaughters, Shannon Gose (Donnie) of Arkansas City and Tracy Holzem of Port Orchard, WA; sister-in-law, Sue Turney (Glenn) of Parkerfield, KS; brother-in-law, Gene Richards (Nancy) of Surprise, AZ; grandson, Spencer Hartman and Daniel Soproni as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Cully.

Cremation will take place and the family will have private services for him. A memorial has been established in his name with the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City, KS.
