Ronald "Ron" Frank Waldroupe

Ronald Frank Waldroupe, 75, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Winfield Senior Living Community.

Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, July 9th at the Shelley Family Funeral Home – 803 Loomis St. Winfield, KS 67156. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Ron’s name may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society, contributions may be left in care of the funeral home.

“Ron” Waldroupe was born on June 16, 1943 in Winfield, Kansas the son of Ralph and Bessie (Taton) Waldroupe. “Ron” grew up in Cowley County and attended Winfield schools. He worked for BAE Systems Regional Aircraft and after retiring he worked as a custodian for Wellington High School. “Ron” enjoyed going to car shows, swap meets and flea markets to find unique items and he loved listening to Rock n’ Roll.

Survivors include 5 children, his brothers James Dale Waldroupe and Dennis Waldroupe and numerous nieces and nephews. “Ron” is preceded in death by his parents and infant son Lloyd Keith Waldroupe, siblings: Betty Beard, Glenn Ward-Waldroupe, Rose Giddens, Ruby Schalk, Viola Santos, and Harry “Pete” Waldroupe.
