Teresa Vann Obituary

Teresa Jo Vann, 64, beloved daughter of Joe and Wanda H. Vann passed away at home on July 25, 2018.

Teresa was born July 14, 1954 at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield. Her parents and family believed she was God’s gift filled with love and one to be loved by all. Teresa was truly special. From the age of 6 to 16 she went to the Institute of Logopedics in Wichita for speech and life skills development. The education was exceptional. She was a lifelong resident of Winfield and lived with her parents before moving to a CCL home in 2007.

The family sincerely thanks the dedicated staff of Easter Seals Capper formerly CCL, William Newton Memorial Hospital, Rivercross Hospice and Dr. Alvin Bird for all their loving care.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Steven Bryan Vann.

Teresa is survived by her sister Karen Vann Young and husband, Ronald of San Rafael, California; niece Sarah Jayne Walker and husband Jake of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and nephew Bryan Vann Yungeberg of Waterville, Kansas.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Arrangements in care of Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
