Teresa “Terri” Ann Anderson, 71, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Wesley Medical Center.

Cremation will take place and no services are scheduled at this time. Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City is in charge of the arrangements.

Terri was born on March 10, 1948 in Winfield, KS, the daughter of Basil and Hilda (Leach) Adkins. She was reared and educated in Burden, KS, where she graduated from high school. She worked as travel agent for a number of years. She found a true passion helping others and began her career as a police dispatcher locally. She was very talented and instrumental in the development of the computer program that was used at Lil Bit Casino and First Council when it opened. She enjoyed loving on her grandkids and will be very missed.

Her family includes: her daughter, Tracie of the home; her brothers, Ron Adkins (Irene) of Mulvane, KS and George Adkins (Maureen) of Overland Park, KS and her 2 grandsons, Justice Anderson (Martika) and Jadon Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nita Fox(George) and infant sister, Ramona.
