Ann Margaret Speegle, 92, of Winfield, KS passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield.
Memorial services will be held at 9:00 AM Monday, December 30, 2024, at Central Baptist Church in Winfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
Ann was born on October 9, 1932 in Aldeburgh, England, to parents Charles and Winifred Alice (Ashford) Harper. She met the love of her life, Cecil Ray Speegle, while he was deployed to England in the Air Force, and the couple married on May 24, 1952; then they moved to America to raise a family. Ann enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, reading and doing crossword puzzles and was a member of the Central Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children Debra Whaley (Curtis) of Houston, TX, Karen Speegle of Winfield, and Michael Speegle of Longview, TX,. Sister Suzann Hoover of Vancouver, WA, and brother Timothy Harper of London, England, grandchildren Jason, Jennifer, Carolyn, Matthew, and Jeff. Great grandchildren; Ella, Maddie, Katelyn, Edwin, Isaac, Maggie, Mason and Natalie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Thelma, Daphney, Rita, and Brian.
