Ardath Glennora Reed

Ardath Glennora Reed, 83, of Newkirk, OK passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of North Central Oklahoma, donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.

Ardath was born September 11, 1940 in Ponca City, OK to parents Glen A. and Cleo (George) Kizer. She graduated from high school in Ponca City and was later united in marriage to Richard L. Reed. Ardath worked as a soda jerk at the Ponca City Pharmacy, as an X-ray lab technician at the Arkansas City Clinic, as an accountant at Presbyterian Manor for 18 years, and for McCool’s Floral. She was a member of Calvary Chapel and enjoyed service with the Agape Meals ministry and she was a member of the Bridges of Peace. Ardath enjoyed cooking, working with horses, volunteering at Family Life Services, and she especially loved spending time with her grandkids.

Survivors include her daughter Yullinda Ming and husband David, grandchildren Lance, Michael, and Katherine Team, great-grandchildren Damien, Adeline, Penelope, and Soren Team, as well as many cousins and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Jacquita Dodson.
