Beverly Maxine (Bliss) Conover

Beverly Maxine (Bliss) Conover, 89, of Oxford, KS passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at the Joy Home.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Oxford Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at the Oxford Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the Oxford Funeral Service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Christian Church and the Wellington Christian Academy, donations may be left in the care of the Oxford Funeral Service.

Beverly was born August 11, 1935 in Wellington, KS the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothodean (Wilkerson) Bliss. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Willis Conover on April 15, 1957 and celebrated 54 years of a wonderful life before his death in 2011. Beverly worked as a postal clerk for the Oxford Post Office for 22 years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and working in her yard.  She also enjoyed decorating her house and lawn for the different holidays for other people to enjoy.

She is survived by her children Dana Conover and wife Deb of Columbus, OH, and Lana Dillon and husband Joe of Udall, KS, granddaughters Carrie Browning and husband Chad of Columbus, OH, and Deidre Voorhis and husband Derek of Udall, KS, great-grandchildren Garrett, Aedric, and William Voorhis of Udall, KS and Corbin and Cate Browning of Columbus, OH, sisters Loretta Newland of Wichita, KS and Judy “Bubby” Meridith and husband Bill of Wellington, sister-in-law Beth Bliss of Winfield, KS, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, husband Willis Conover, brother Gary Bliss, grandsons Christopher Dillon and Cody Conover, brother-in-law William Conover, and sister-in-law Wilma Cook.
