Carol Lee Jorgensen, 87, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at her home in Winfield, KS.
Carol was born in Great Falls, MT May 24, 1934 to parents Glenn and Irene (Burrows) Stokes. She grew up on the family farm in Montana. She was united in marriage to Harry Jorgensen on December 21, 1963 in Sedalia, MO. Carol loved taking care of her family and was a mother to all, she enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, and doing crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her daughter Jennifer Lambert of MO, grandchildren: TJ Kallhoff (Lisa) of GA, Casey Kallhoff of GA, and Melissa Thomas (Carlos McKinzie) of OK, great-grandchildren: Nicole and Dylan Kallhoff of KS, 3 great-great-grandchildren, son-in-law Greg Kallhoff and brother Gary Stokes (Donna) of CA. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Joe Roth (Whitey), and children Chris Kallhoff and Michael Jorgensen.
According to Carol’s wishes, cremation will take place and her family will lay her to rest next to her husband at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 25, 2022 at the Winfield Veterans’ Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
