Catherine Patricia Hribar

Catherine Patricia Hribar, 77, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at her home in Winfield, KS.

Catherine Hribar was born Catherine McKinney on November 25, 1946 in St. Louis, MO to George and Nora (Taylor) McKinney. She was one of nine children. On November 3, 1963 Catherine was united in marriage to the love of her life, William Hribar. Catherine loved to dance, listen to praise music, play bingo, and tell stories about the good times she had with family. She was a very generous person; and she gave faithfully to St. Jude’s and to the March of Dimes.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents Nora and George McKinney, daughter Mary Hribar, grandson Gregory Haring, siblings Vern Jordan, Joyce Tucker, Carol Dickerson, Georgia Wienhoff, and David McKinney.

Catherine is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Hribar, daughters Tina (Jack) Haring, and Sarah (David) Hitzfelder, grandchildren Ben, Zack (Jess), Katie, Emily, Andrew, Harley (Kyla), Jer and Jo, great-grandchildren Ava and Mia, and her brothers Ron McKinney, Fred (Barb) McKinney, and Terry (Brenda) McKinney and many nephews, nieces and great-nieces and nephews.

Private family memorial services will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield, KS.
