Catherine “Caty” Ann Sodowsky, 37, of Winfield, KS, passed away on December 18, 2024, at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, December 23rd, 2024, at Central Baptist Church in Winfield. Memorials in Caty’s name may be made to Central Baptist Church or the Cowley County Humane Society, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
Caty was born on August 21, 1987, at the Ark City Memorial Hospital to parents John Dalton and Diana Sodowsky. She graduated from Ark City High School in 2006 and then received an associate's degree from Cowley College. She later worked at Dillons in Ark City. Caty loved talking to everyone she met about Jesus; her faith was evident in every part of her life. When she went to the store she always brought a Bible in case she needed it to share something about Jesus even though she already had most of it memorized. Caty loved playing piano, ASL signing to music at church, putting “Washi tape” on her bible, collecting pens and being involved in theatre productions at Cowey College. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and was always ready to give a hug to anyone she met because she never met a stranger.
Caty is survived by her parents, Diana Sodowsky and John Dalton-White; her brother, Corbett Dalton (Amanda); and aunts Denise Sodowsky, Denise Snavely, Judy Stephenson, Mary Jane Slates, and uncle Jody Dalton.
