Cecil Ray Speegle, 89, of Winfield, KS passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 at Presbyterian Manor of Arkansas City.
His family will hold a private memorial service at Central Baptist Church of Winfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
Ray was born December 20, 1931 in Barry, TX the son of Robert and Letha (Rae) Speegle. He received his education in Corsicana, TX and Hobbs, NM and after school he joined the Air Force and served from 1950-1954. Ray met the love of his life, Ann Harper, while he was serving in the Air Force in England, they were united in marriage May 24, 1952. Ray worked for Northern Natural Gas for 35 years, he retired as a supervisor. He enjoyed camping, golfing and watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a member of Central Baptist Church of Winfield.
Survivors include his wife Ann of Winfield, children: Debra Whaley (Curtis) of Manvel, TX, Karen Speegle of Winfield, and Michael Speegle of Longview, TX; grandchildren: Jason Speegle of Lubbock, TX, Jennifer Stromatt of Missouri City, TX, Carolyn Whaley of Stamford, CT, Matthew Speegle of Shreveport, LA, and Jeff Speegle of Hawaii; great-grandchildren: Ella Stromatt, Maddie Stromatt, Katelyn Stromatt, Edwin Speegle, Isaac Speegle, and Maggie Speegle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Speegle and sister Rena Killian.
