Chad Lee Gleason

Chad Lee Gleason, 43, of Arkansas City, KS passed away, April 10, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Thursday, April 17, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mike's Bait Shop, donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.

Chad blessed the world with his presence on March 29, 1982, as the son of Dwayne Nelsen and Teresa (Gleason) Talkington in Flagstaff, AZ. He was united in marriage to Kellie Morgan on January 13, 2024, in Arkansas City, where he was a resident for the past 6 years. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, and metal tinkering. He loved his family and cherished his friends; he never knew a stranger, always being the life of the party at work, parties, and holiday gatherings (Halloween being his favorite).

Chad is survived by his wife: Kellie Gleason, mother Teresa Talkington, father Kenneth Talkington, children: Katie Gleason, Gunner Gleason, Avery Talkington, Brayden Morgan (Megan Noah), Mike Coffey and Gabriel Coffey, siblings: Tim Talkington (Sarah Talkington), Chrissy Nelsen (Sam Defalco), Tabi Talkington, Andi Wallisch (Derek Wallisch), Daniel Neal (Michele Camacho), and grandchildren: Braden, Ivy, Stella, Tayrn, Rynne.

Chad is preceded in death by his father Dwayne Nelsen, and grandparents.
