Charlene Ann (Dorsey) Fisher

Charlene Fisher, 83, of Wellington passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at her home in Wellington.

In keeping with Charlene’s wishes, no services are being held. A memorial has been established with the Sumner County Veteran’s Memorial and may be left with the Shelley Family Funeral Home PO Box 555, 704 N. Washington, Wellington, KS 67152. 

Charlene Ann Fisher was born on October 18, 1936 the daughter of Charles and Retha (Prothro) Dorsey in Wellington, KS. Charlene was a graduate of Wellington High School. On October 2, 1954 she was united in marriage with James B. Fisher in Wellington. Charlene had worked as a waitress and owned and operated her own craft store for several years “Just Rags and Woods”. She also enjoyed traveling the United States with her husband on a motorcycle. Charlene also enjoyed crafts and reading.

Surviving to honor her memory are her two sons, James W. Fisher of Dallas, Texas and Eric Fisher of Wellington, grandchildren, Trisha Fisher, Grant Fisher, Jessica Fisher, Piper Fisher, Trevor Fisher and James R. Fisher, great grandchildren, Stefan Brown, Cullen Fisher, Ava Fisher and Elliott Etter.

Preceding her in death are her parents, daughter Dana Fisher and husband James B. Fisher.
