Charles Politsch Obituary

Charles John Politsch, 79, of Winfield passed away December 24, 2020 at Cumbernauld Village in Winfield.

Charles was born in Alton, IL on December 18, 1941 to parents Vernon and Genevive (Gurney) Politsch. Charles graduated from DeVibiss High School in Toledo, OH in 1960, he later graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1964. He was united in marriage to Suzanne K. Thomson in Toledo, OH, she preceded him in death in June 30, 2014. Charles worked as a personnel director for Owens-Illinois Glass, he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and the Kiwanis Club of Arkansas City and enjoyed spending time gardening.

Survivors include his son John Politsch, and three grandchildren. Charles is preceded in death by his parents and wife Suzanne.

Cremation has taken place, no services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
