Chelsea Elaine Smith

Chelsea Elaine Smith, 32, of Derby, KS passed away, Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 20, 2024 at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice at St. Frances Hospital, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.

Chelsea was born on December 7, 1992 in Winfield, KS to parents Michael and April (White) Smith. She graduated from Winfield High School in 2011 and received an associates degree from  Cowley County Community College and later attended Wichita State University. Chelsea worked as a scheduler for Kansas Gastro in Wichita for over four years. Chelsea enjoyed watching Sooner football, reading, and doing lottery crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her friends at the movies or on mini vacations and teasing her nephew.

Survivors include her mother April Smith, her sister Cassie Smith, nephew Rand Parker III, her best friend Megan Nall, her work family, and of course her four-legged friend “Lila”, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, sister Courtney Dawn Smith and grandparents.
