Connie Lou Swisher

 Connie Lou Swisher, 82, of Arkansas City, KS passed away on May 5, 2024, at her home.

Connie was born on July 22, 1941, in Wichita, KS to parents John Looney and Evelyn (Barnes) (Looney) Sapp. Connie attended St Mary’s Cathedral Grade School in Wichita then Mt. Carmel Academy high school. She worked as a nurse at many places in Wichita and Arkansas City. Connie was united in marriage to the love of her life Calvin Ray Swisher for over 40 years, they renewed their vows in 1985, together they had 9 children. Connie enjoyed birds, collecting chicken figurines, doing puzzles and traveling, she loved everyone, had no hate in her heart, her sister Mary always said she had the most beautiful blue eyes, and prayed every day to Jesus.

Connie is survived by her daughter Angela Thielen and husband Hamilton, sister Mary Sexton and brother Michael Looney, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Calvin, and siblings Patricia, Kathleen and John Jr.
