Cynthia "Cindy" Lynn Moore

Cynthia Lynn Moore, 67, of Winfield, KS passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at William Newton Memorial Hospital.

Cindy was born June 21, 1956 in Winfield, KS to parents Leroy and Carol (Johnson) Topper. She graduated from Pine Hills Academy in Gloster, MS. She later attended Cowley County Community College and Southwestern College where she earned a bachelor’s in nursing in 1993. After graduating from Southwestern, Cindy began a 20-year nursing career, she worked at Wesley Medical Center, South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center, Winfield Rest Haven, and the Good Samaritan Society, from which she retired in 2017. Cindy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Michael Moore, in Winfield, KS on July 23, 1977. She liked collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, going to garage sales, crocheting, cooking, and baking. Cindy loved to spend time at Island Park and going to her grandkids’ sporting events. Her family was the most important part of her life, and she loved raising her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include her husband Mike, son Dustin Moore, daughters Amy Moore, Crystal Carpenter, and Jennifer Odom, grandchildren Avery Gardner, Adrian Gardner, Addison Estes, Alyiah Moore, Alexa Gardner, Ariel Gardner, Miles Moore, and Violet Moore, siblings Jim Topper (Mary), David Topper (Claudia), Sharon Calvert, Duane Froman, and Jamie Froman. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathy Watson, and daughter Melissa Gardner.

Celebration of life services are pending. Arrangements are in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
