Dale Lee Farris, 89, of Oxford, KS passed away at his home with his daughters by his side, on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Oxford Chirstian Church, burial will follow at the Geuda Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Oxford Funeral Service. Memorial contributions in Dale’s name may be made to the Oxford Christian Church; donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.
Dale was born on July 20, 1936 in Braman, OK to parents Marvin and Reva (Hunter) Farris, he graduated from East Wichita High School in 1954 and then enlisted in the US Navy. After being honorably discharged, Dale worked for Ranny Davis as a bookkeeper and at Maur Nuer Packing house before starting his career as a Driver for Schwan’s for over 25 years. On June 25, 1956 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Patricia June Smith, in Wichita. They made their home in Wagoner, OK, for many years before moving to Oxford in 2004. Dale enjoyed woodworking and scrolling and was a deacon at Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Wagoner and an Elder at Oxford Christian Church. He was also on the library board for many years.
Dale is survived by his daughters, Patty Mugler, Rae Guthrie (Larry), Lori Niceley (Richard Parks), 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings George Farris, Anita Tidwell, and Ronnie Farris.
