David Frederick Mitchell

David Frederick Mitchell, 71, of Arkansas City, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his home.

Cremation has been effected by Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Johnny Ray McCauley Building east of Newkirk, OK.  

David Frederick was born on November 4, 1946 in Shidler, OK the son of Pat and Edna (Cato) Mitchell. He graduated from high school.  After high school, he worked many jobs. He was united in marriage to Martha Aguilar on June 13, 1975.   His most recent included WalMart and Martin Marietta Materials, Inc.  He was a very devoted father and grandfather. He loved his casino trips and watching his sports. He was also full of lots of storytelling. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. 

His family includes his children: Marlene Noriega, Charlene Aguilar and Tina Briley all of Arkansas City, KS; Tiffany Briley of Newkirk, OK; Rudy Crable and wife Michelle of California; Donnie Crable of Haysville, KS and Felicia Briley of Newkirk, OK; his siblings: Phillip Mitchell of Newkirk, OK; Roger Cato of Oklahoma City, OK and Catherine Mitchell of Wichita, KS; his 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Martha; his sisters, Patricia Freek, Myrtle Coppinger and brother, Donnie Cato.
