Dayna Gibson Obituary

Dayna Gibson, 57, went to her heavenly home on November 9, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her strong belief in God supported her in her struggle and gave her peace.

Dayna was born to Jacob and Gloria Clover, in Arkansas City, KS on February 2, 1963. She spent her younger years on the church bus singing to the Lord.  She graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1981.  The family spent many summers camping at Hewins, KS with Don and Norma Cole, lifelong family friends.  Dayna was blessed with a loving family who enjoyed card games and Scrabble. She was blessed with three children, Christine, Lucas Dale and Holly.  She later married Jerry Gibson in Ponca City, OK on March 6, 2007.

She retired from Wal-Mart after 20 years of service and continued to work in retail until 2019.  She was kind and outgoing and loved her customers.  Dayna was an organizer at heart and loved being a homemaker after retirement. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate that she is at peace with her creator.

Dayna is survived by her son Lucas Dale Beaty; her daughters Christine Beaty and Holly Harper and husband Phillip Harper; her father, Jacob Clover; her grandchildren Gabriel and Noah Harper, Lein and Lydia Beaty; her sister and brother-in-law, Danice and Chet Sweet, and her grand puppies Scout and Shadow. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Clover, and husband, Jerry Gibson.

Dayna invites you to become a child of God and join her in a mansion on the hilltop.

The family will have memorial services on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Parker Cemetery in Arkansas City, KS.
