Debra Kay Capps, 65, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 with her daughter and grandson, Bryan, by her side.
A family celebration of life will be held at 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Debra’s home in Arkansas City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cowley County House of Hope, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.
Debra was born on August 9, 1959 in Tulsa, OK, to parents Charlie Alfred and Lola Fay (Roberts) Seaborn. In 2006 she was united in marriage to Terry Capps. She enjoyed working at the Ponca City Country Club as a decorative chef, specializing in fruit displays. Debra enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and being outside working, dancing, playing softball, and spending time with her grandkids. Recently, she joined the Bible Christian Church in Ark City and her relationship with God had become an important part of her life.
She is survived by her son Eric Cunningham (Tammy), daughter Kristi Roach (Cory Vowell), siblings Marilyn Hammon, Vicki Dawson, Dell Seaborn and Carl Dean Seaborn, grandchildren Juan Medina “Augustus”, Miguel Medina “Preston”, Bryan Medina “Ozzy”, Jacob Medina “Jacob’Gene”, Debra Ann Medina, Andrew Vowell, Tyler Vowell, Calvin Branson, Eric Cunningham Jr., Courtney Balli, Kayleigh Balli and Chloe Cunningham, she was made a proud “GG” by Grayson and Azy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Brandon, and siblings Kenny Charles Seabourn, Phyllis Begley, and Linda Sue Conaway.
