Donald Ray Ward Jr., 78, of Arkansas City, KS passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Presbyterian Manor of Arkansas City.
Come celebrate the life of Donald Ray Ward Jr. with his family at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Bible Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bible Christian Church or the Early Bird Lions Club, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.
He lived and worked in this community lifelong as a conductor for the BNSF and owned Don’s Lock and Key. Don was a member of the Bible Christian Church, the VFW, and the Early Bird Lions Club. He enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, watching sports, and traveling to see family. Don could often be found around town telling jokes, selling tickets for the Lions Club, or golfing.
He is survived by his son Eric Ward (Reagan) and granddaughter Elise Ward, siblings Stan Ward (Kim), Harry Ward (Suella), and Marvie Davis (Kenny), and numerous nieces and nephews. Don is preceded in death by his loving wife Sara, his parents, and siblings Glen Ward and Jody Floyd.
