Graveside Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M, Saturday, February 22, 2020, at the Oxford Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Ginn officiating. Visitation will be prior to the graveside service from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at Oxford Funeral Service, the family will be present. Doris was born September 5, 1925, at the family farm, Oxford, to James Isaac and Alma Alverda Conley. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1943.

On June 30, 1946, she was united in marriage with C. Elbert Feaster at the Oxford Christian Church. They were parents of Mark Elbert (Janice), Galveston, TX, Dana Bertrand, Guthrie, OK, and Vance Everett, Oxford, and grandparents of Christopher Mark (Maggie), St. Robert, MO, Melaney Jaye King (Tom), Overland Park, KS, Conley Evan (Staci), Lecompton, KS, Trent (Natalion) Bertrand, Richardson, TX, Michael Bertrand and Travis Bertrand, Guthrie, OK. They were great-grandparents of twelve: Amadeus, Gaea, and Nice Kaos; Lily and Samantha King; Kaci and Chase Warren; Anthony, Alicia, and Aaron Bertrand; Jase and Jaden Bertrand.

During World War II, Doris was employed at Strother Field, Winfield, and at La Hunta, CO, and after her children finished high school, she assisted Elbert at the sand plant. She was active in the Oxford Mothers Club, the Soldanella Club, and the Oxford Christian Church where she especially enjoyed the annual chicken pot pie dinner each fall. Elbert and Doris enjoyed couples bridge and golf, and several reunions and travel associated with the 70th Infantry Division, including a trip to Europe so that Elbert could share his experiences with her. The highlight of her life was that of being a happy, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

The Feasters owned and operated Oxford Sand & Gravel for many years, retiring in 1991 and moving to Hilton Head Island, SC, and to Ft. Worth, TX. Elbert died May 1, 2001, and Doris then resided in Wellington and Guthrie, OK, before moving back to the Oxford nursing home.

Mrs. Feaster was predeceased by her husband Elbert and son-in-law Mike Bertrand, and her six brothers and sisters: Cora Mayfield, Kenneth Conley, Agnes Wright, Ralph Conley, Leota Hemphill, and Bob Conley. In addition to the above-mentioned children and grandchildren, she is survived by sisters-in-law Audrey Barron, Washington, and Maurine Feaster, Wellington, and numerous nieces and nephews who fondly loved their Aunt Doris.
