Earl Dean Adams

Earl Dean Adams, 72, of Winfield, KS passed away on October 19, 2021 in Blackwell, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 28th at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield, interment will follow at Tannehill Cemetery. There will be a public viewing from 4-6 PM Wednesday, October 27th at the funeral home. The family requests no flowers and that any memorials to be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.

Earl was born December 5, 1948 in Winfield, KS to parents John “Barney” and Jewel Lois (Sullivan) Adams. Earl attended Winfield High School and was later drafted into the Army for 2 years. Earl was united in marriage to Rhonda Crowe in January of 1976, the couple later divorced but remained lifelong friends. Earl enjoyed working in the oil field for over 18 years, being a mechanic, playing guitar and any stringed instrument, noodling for catfish, being outdoors and growing marijuana.

Earl is survived by his children, Joshua Adams and Mary Adams, ex-wife Rhonda Crowe Higgins, Earls siblings, Troy Adams (Anne), Sandra Faye (Wally Clark), Joe Adams (Julie), Edie Marsh (Kenny), brother in law David Crowe (Cari), sisters in law Kerry Roak (Randy), Debbie Miller (Barry), Lori Thacker (Eddie), and his grandchildren.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, son Wesley Dean Adams JR., and daughters Rachel Beth Adams and Martha Jewell Adams, Ex-wife Mary Catherine Weller, siblings Betty Lemon and John Robert Adam.
