Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Frazier

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Frazier, 71, of Winfield, KS, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, October 28, 2024 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield. Inurnment will follow at Union Graham Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1-3 PM Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cowley County Humane Society or the Winfield Food Pantry. Donations may be left in the care of the funeral home.

Liz was born on March 13, 1953 in Winfield, KS to parents Wilfred “Bill” and Shirley (Kiss) Chamberland. She graduated from Winfield High School and in November of 1975 was united in marriage to Warren “Farley” Frazier. Liz worked at the State Hospital in Winfield until its closure then worked for the Kansas Teachers Union as a representative. Liz enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing, and dog sitting for friends, she stayed busy doing what she loved and helping others. Liz volunteered at the Arts and Humanities Council, Winfield Food Pantry, Kiwanis, Soroptimist Club, and many other organizations. She was a KU Jayhawks fan and enjoyed watching basketball games, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Liz had a special relationship with her grandchildren and loved to spoil them, even slipping them cash on occasion when they weren’t looking. She enjoyed traveling to their events and supporting their activities through fundraising and encouragement. Her love meant the world to them.

Liz is survived by her son Jeremy Frazier (Laura), grandsons Braden, Jace, Colin and Bret, mother Shirley Chamberland, siblings Michael Chamberland (Kathy), Cynthia Bland, James Chamberland (Jennifer) and Catherine Bowman (Michael), brothers-in-law Kendall Frazier (Cindy) and John Frazier (Linda), sister-in-law Jana Weston (Matt), and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, husband, brother Gregory Chamberland, mother and father-in-law Emily and Stephen Frazier, brothers-in-law Graham Frazier and Larry Bland, and nieces Angela and Erica Frazier.
