Eric Pershing Rhodes

Eric Pershing Rhodes, 54, of Wellington, KS passed away November 22, 2023 at Ascension Via Christi St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.

Celebration of life services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Free Will Baptist Church in Wellington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home to defray funeral expenses.

Eric was born on July 17, 1969 in Pasadena, CA to parents Perry Rhodes Sr. and Drucelia Rhodes. He graduated from Pasadena High School and later moved to Kansas where he worked in construction as a superintendent for Snodgrass Construction. Eric enjoyed computer and Wii games, RC cars and drones, carpentry, and welding, but most of all he loved his kids.

Eric is survived by his children Nichole Black, Allen (Bridget) Rhodes and Alisha Rhodes, grandchildren Nah’leyah Burnett, Michael White, Alayana Rhodes, Allen Rhodes Jr., Amarah Rhodes, Hunter Rhodes, and Xavier Rhodes, siblings Delia Morris and Tony Rhodes.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandsons Oliver and Gunnar Rhodes.
