Francisco “Panchito” Luis Vasquez Jr., 50, of Arkansas City, passed away February 26, 2026, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital with his family by his side.
Panchito was born on December 16, 1975, in Weslaco, TX, to parents Francisco Luis Vasquez Sr. and Maria Bacilia Salinas Vasquez. After ten years together, on September 15, 2025, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Mayra Cabrales in Ark City. Panchito worked at Creekstone as an intake operator and as an artist at his business, “Panchos Ink.” He loved being a tattoo artist, and customizing his 84’ El Camino, he enjoyed working on it, detailing it, and taking it to car shows. He enjoyed adding speaker systems to cars and riding bikes, but most of all being with his family.
He is survived by his wife, 6 children, 3 grandchildren, parents, brother Juan Vasquez (Vanessa), sisters Letisia Vasquez and Lizbeth Vasquez, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, March 2, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Arkansas City. The Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 A.M. prior to services. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 4-6 P.M. Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.
