Gary Kent Obituary

Gary Lee Kent, 75, of Winfield, KS passed away on December 20, 2022, at his home after battling with cancer.

Lee was born in Kansas City, KS to parents George Kovtynovich Kent and Cassie (Shaul) Kent. He graduated from Wellsville, KS high school and then joined the Marines. Lee attended tech school after he was discharged from the military and spent 32 years as an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife Linda.

Survivors include wife Linda Keady-Kent, step-children Jeffrey Thomas, Jamie Sivils, Michelle Sparks, and Mark Keady, as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, and stepson Eugene Thomas.

Private arrangements are with the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield. Donations may be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
