Gary Wayne Ridgeway, 76, of Winfield, KS passed away March 14, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to defray funeral expenses or to the Cowley County Humane Society, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home.
Gary was born on April 22, 1948 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS to parents Robert W. and Louise Marie (Hufford) Ridgeway. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1966 and started working as a welder. He had a career of over 45 years at IMI Fluid Kinetics in Winfield, he proudly welded the Bellagio fountains in Las Vegas. On January 24, 2000 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Angela Riegel. Gary loved fishing, baseball and football, drinking a cold Pepsi, harassing friends and neighbors, his dog “Taco Bella”, but most of all he loved being with his wife, kids and grandchildren.
Gary is survived by his wife, daughters Stacy Ridgeway, Misty Finch, Dawn Neises and wife Christina, sister Vickie Kennedy, grandchildren Robert and wife Martha, Anjelika, Abbigail, Gavin, Maryssa, Zandar, Dylan, Dakota, and Cheyenne, and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Kristi Ross and great-grandchild Zayne Johnson.
