Gerald Barnes Obituary

Gerald Ray Barnes, 71, of Arkansas City, KS passed away on February 5, 2023.

No services have been scheduled. Arrangements are in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

Gerald was born to Bishop and Eroman Barnes on May 29, 1951. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1969 and later received an associate degree in welding from Cowley College. He worked for many years as a roofer with Powers Roofing. Gerald married Oneita Barnes on January 5, 2011, in Newkirk, OK. He enjoyed going fishing and shooting pool.

Gerald is survived by his brother Cyrus Barnes, sister Clara (Barnes) Miller, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bishop Barnes Jr.
