Hugh Roberts

Hugh Roberts, 79, of Arkansas City, Kansas passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022, at his home.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Arrangements are in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

Hugh was born on October 16, 1942, in Fort Collins, Colorado to parents Richard Aaron and Lilah (Horn) Roberts. He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1959 and later earned a bachelor’s degree. Hugh was united in marriage to the love of his life, Nancy (Roberts) Donlay, on March 2, 1996 in Colorado Springs. Hugh worked for Bob Penkhus car dealership as an inventory manager for over 35 years. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed skiing, rollerblading, hiking, tree trimming, woodworking, and just about anything outdoors.

Hugh is survived by his wife Nancy, sons Dorn Roberts and wife Molly, and Devon Roberts, stepsons Scott Rutter of Round Rock Texas, Cory Rutter, Brett Stiles, grandson Miles Hugh Roberts and three step-granddaughters Aliza, Faith and Gracie Rutter all from Round Rock Texas and siblings Quin Roberts and Lori Berhorst. He is preceded in death by his parents.
