Jack Reimer, 61, of Wellington passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Free Will Baptist Church in Wellington. Visitation will be Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 12:00 until 6:00 P.M. with the family present from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. A memorial has been established with the Wellington Future Farmers of American and may be left with the Shelley Family Funeral Home PO Box 555, 704 N. Washington, Wellington, KS 67152. 

Jack Duane Reimer was born May 28, 1958, the son of Donald L. and Mildred Elizabeth (Thresher) Reimer in Wichita, KS. He graduated from Wellington High School in 1976. On March 31, 2001 Jack was united in marriage to Darlene Humbert-Wilson.  Jack spent his life learning and exploring a number of career choices including: the oilfield, truck driving, and HVAC industry. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He treasured the time he spent taking his nephews and nieces fishing and hunting. Jack enjoyed yearly "Princess Tia Adventures" where he allowed his beloved granddaughter to pick the destination and Papa would drive her anywhere she wanted to go.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Darlene of the home; his father, Donald Reimer of Yuma, AZ; daughter, Miranda Smith (Lyle) of Kansas City, MO; 2 grandchildren: Cody Parson and Tia Parson; siblings: Donna Hartman (Jerry) of Ft. Smith, AR,  Patricia Kostedt (Ron) of Hazelwood MO, Michael Reimer (Sandra) of Caldwell, TX, Carolyn Bahr (Chad) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Margaret Botek (Dean) of Stanton, MI, and Elizabeth Zahl (Orry) of Phoenix, AZ, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred “Beth” Reimer.
