James “Jimmy D. Wallace, 74, of Arkansas City, Kansas went to walk with the Lord on November 6th, 2024.
Jimmy was raised in Arkansas City, Kansas and graduated from Arkansas City High School. After he graduated Jimmy served in the US Army. When he returned after serving, he married and had two children one son Shawnee and one daughter Chasity. The couple later divorced. Jimmy worked in various places throughout his career until he retired. Jimmy liked playing the guitar and even played at church. He loved the outdoors especially fishing, hiking, and camping he liked astronomy and loved to talk about his days in the army. Jimmy was a very generous man, he would help a neighbor in need and especially had a heart for donating to charities.
Jimmy had an honorary brother James whom he met in 1981, James was a true brother and friend to Jimmy over the years. Jimmy could call James anytime and he’d be right there for whatever Jimmy needed.
Jimmy and James loved going fishing and camping and hiking together and took and overnight fishing trip to Missouri together, and when Jimmy could no longer work on his own vehicle James worked on it for him. James would check on Jimmy often and see how he was doing.
Jimmy also had a lifelong friend Clifford who would check on him and take him to the grocery store or to pay bills and make sure he was okay.
A special thank you to James and Clifford for your generosity of time and care for our dad when we were not able to be there.
There will be no services as cremation has been effected.
