Jerry Winston Hadley, 80, of Winfield, KS passed away Tuesday, December 15 at Life care of Andover, KS.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Winfield Veterans’ Cemetery. Memorial contributions for Jerry may be made to the Alzheimer’s association and left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral home of Winfield.
Jerry was born on February 16, 1940 in Mullinville, KS to parents James and Alta Marie (Beckett) Hadley. He grew up in Mullinville and graduated from the Mullinville high school in 1958, after high school Jerry joined the Army and was honorably discharged in 1961. Jerry worked for 33 years as a regulator for Pan Handle Eastern, he also worked as a bus driver and custodian for Mullinville and Oxford Schools. He enjoyed watching dirt track racing and was an avid fan of the Chiefs and the Jayhawks, he also enjoyed reading old country western novels and watching old western movies, his favorite activity was taking a drive down a country road and visiting family.
Survivors include his son Troy Hadley and wife Anita, daughter Alisa Holloway and husband Jimmy, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Norvel, Bruce, Niles and Robert.
