Jimmy “Jim” Lynn Garrett, 74, of Burden, KS passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Willaim Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield.

Jim was born on August 31, 1949 to parents Russell and Nathalee (Offill) Garrett in Augusta, KS. He attended Wichita State University where he received a bachelor’s degree in administrative accounting. Jim worked as an accountant for many years before working as a computer programmer and a substitute teacher for USD 465. On May 6, 2023 he was united in marriage to Mary (Parks) Roberts. Jim enjoyed bowling and golfing, and he was a member of the Haverhill Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife Mary and son James Garrett.
