Johnie Lee Filmore Jr., 68, of Winfield, KS passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

No services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Charlena Filmore, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.

Johnie was born August 8, 1956 in San Antonio, TX to parents Thelma and Johnie Filmore Sr. He graduated high school and attended U.C. Berkley for two years. He was united in marriage to Charlena Anne Elston on May 10, 2007 in Lubbock, TX, they spent 24 wonderful years together. Johnie worked as a cook at several restaurants in Texas. He enjoyed cooking and listening to music, especially R&B and Earth, Wind, and Fire.

Johnie is survived by his wife, children Corvey Filmore, Christopher Elston, Crystal Crane, and Brenda Sims, and Aunt Binnie Cochran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bubba Filmore, and sisters Wanda Durham and Pat Filmore.
