Juanita Green, 83, of Oxford, KS passed away peacefully at home Saturday, February 5, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the Oxford Christian Church. Interment will follow at the Oxford Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the Oxford Funeral Service from 6-8 P.M Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Memorial contributions for Juanita may be made to the Oxford Christian Church and Good Shepherd Hospice, donations may be left in the care of the Oxford Funeral Service – PO Box 123, Oxford, KS 67119.
Juanita was born March 26, 1938 the daughter of George and Gladys (Thompson) Drew. She was born in Hugoton, KS and raised in the Richfield, Kansas area, and graduated from Hugoton High School. In 1956 Juanita was united in marriage to Billy Joe Dwyer, he preceded her in death and she later married Lowell Green in 1978. Juanita worked for 15 years at Emerald Bank, she was the Oxford Christian Church secretary for 23 years, and she also worked hard raising her family. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and she enjoyed being a part of the Mothers’ Club and women’s Bible study group at church.
She is survived by her children Kay Gehring and husband Peewee of Oxford, and Jay Dwyer of Oxford; grandchildren: Daniel and wife Sheena, and Phillip and wife Genna; great-grandchildren: Shilo, Evelynn and Hannah; and her sister Helen Willamon. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother Kenny Drew and sister Joyce McDonald.
