Lela Mae (Bratton) Morgan

Lela Mae Morgan of Arkansas City, KS passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at South Central Kansas Medical Center.

Graveside funeral services for Delbert and Lela will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, June 26 at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City. There will be a time of visitation from 5-7 P.M. Thursday, June 25 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City.

Lela was born on January 21, 1928 to Marion and Marguerite (Askew) Bratton in Drexel, Missouri.  She was united in marriage to Delbert Morgan on May 13, 1971.  Lela had many jobs thru the years, including working at the chrome factory and Binney & Smith Crayola Factory.   However, her longstanding job was raising 12 children.  Delbert and Lela also had an exotic bird farm in Florida.  She loved going to flea markets and selling her birds and talking to people.  

Surviving to honor her memory are her husband, Delbert of the home; her 8 children and spouses,  Harley & Janet Coker, Sharon and Lloyd Crane, Evan & Vonetta Morgan, Mark & Janell Morgan, Ricky & Cindy Coker, Paul and Denise Coker, Charlie Coker and Kim & Randy Wickham; her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dale and Harold, sister, Rosie; her daughters, Diana Spencer and Charlotte Morgan and sons, Jimmy and Eddie Coker.
